Prva publika koja je imala prilike da pogleda film Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) je jako pozitivno reagovala na novi DCEU film.
Prema kritičarima, film nije savršen, ali je izuzetno zabavan. Mnogi od njih hvale estetiku i fenomenalne scene borbe. Među hvaljenim performansima se pored Margot Robbie kao Harley Quinn nalaze i Mary Elizabeth Winstead kao Huntress i iskusni Ewan McGregor kao Black Mask. Reakcije govore da bi Harley Quinn mogla biti lik koji će uticati na ovaj ”zabavni” deo franšize DCEU i doneti joj uspeh.
